Business Advocacy Fund

Regulatory reform

Kenya

The team: Ruth, Philo, Clive & Eunice The Business Advocacy Fund is intended to support business member organisations (BMOs) to engage in private public dialogue and to advocate an improved business environment in Kenya.
As fund manager, we are responsible for every aspect of marketing the fund, assisting BMOs to prepare compelling proposals, taking recommendations to the board, providing capacity building support and offering implementation assistance. We commenced work in September 2006 and the Fund was formally launched in November 2006. There has been a steady flow of applications. As at June 2008, some 18 advocacy grants totalling more than KShs 49 million had been approved the BAF Board.
Irwin Grayson Associates has joined forces with Coffey International Development to manage this project.
Go to BAF BAF is funded by the Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA).
